Where this site actually stands
This page says what we have done, what we have not done, and how to tell us when something gets in your way. It is a status report rather than a statement of intent.
What we have done
Pages are built from real headings, lists, tables, buttons and links, in a sensible reading order, rather than styled divs. Assistive technology gets the structure for free.
Every control can be reached and used with a keyboard, and the focused element has a visible outline — we have not removed the focus ring anywhere.
The scroll and hover animations check prefers-reduced-motion. With it on, animation is switched off and every element resolves to its visible resting state — nothing stays hidden waiting for a transition.
Buttons and icon controls are at least 44×44 px, so they are usable on a phone and with imprecise pointing.
Form fields use a minimum 16 px font size, which keeps them legible and stops mobile browsers zooming in when a field is focused.
Text and interface colours have been checked against the brand palette for contrast, including the tangerine and sky tints used on buttons and note blocks.
Product and editorial images carry descriptive alt text; decorative shapes are marked aria-hidden so screen readers skip them.
Known gaps
These are real, and we would rather you read them here than find them yourself.
No formal WCAG audit has been carried out. We have followed the practices above, but no one has assessed this site against WCAG 2.1 and issued a conformance report. So we do not claim a conformance level, because we have not earned one.
Some colour swatches are below 44 px. The small colour and variant swatches on product pages are smaller than our own tap-target minimum. They are harder to hit than they should be. If a swatch is giving you trouble, email us and we will place the order for you.
The site has not been tested with a screen reader. Semantic markup makes a good starting point, but it is not the same as someone actually navigating the shop with VoiceOver, NVDA or TalkBack. Until we have done that, we cannot tell you how it performs in practice.
This list will change as we work through it. If a gap here is blocking you from buying something, the email below gets you a person, not a queue.
Found a barrier? Tell us
Email hello@bonvoyage-shops.com. If you can, say which page you were on, what you were trying to do, and what you were using — browser, phone, screen reader, keyboard only. Any of that helps; none of it is required.
A person answers, usually within one working day. If something stops you completing an order, say so and we will complete it with you over email.
